Will there be a Government Cloud for the GIS Domain?
Several consumer approaches and strategies are evolving for GIS clouds. But how and when will the Government implement a cloud for the GIS domain? Are there lessons learned from NSDI and other Federal and DoD collaborative initiatives that can be applied or migrated to a GIS cloud for government agencies? This presentation will look at potential strategies and explore challenges we face in implementing a Geospatial Cloud in the government and DoD domain.
